- Do insist on a recommendation before you embark on hosting or web site building.
- Do look at some of the sites the company / person has built.
- Don't register a domain with cheap domain registration companies, there may be a catch.
- Don't part with your money before you see the results.
- Don't answer spam mail, however angry you get.
- Do check to see if there is a "transfer fee" for your domain name if you wish to move.
- Do choose you Meta Tags carefully and use 16 keywords or less .
- Don't rely on keywords alone. Some major search engines ignore them.
- Do get advice on making your site attractive to search engines.
